Only once, inadvertently, YMB. We found ourselves there late one cold evening with very tired children so asked in a pub we came across if they had rooms. They had just opened and weren’t ready for guests at all but the owners made us beds up despite the paint cans and tool boxes everywhere, and fed us a super breakfast before we went in our way the following morning. The hospitality was superb. I’ve never forgotten it. God bless Stoke!
