i dont mean disrespect to chefs, cookers, preparation people. Michelin stars may be glamourous, but my impression is that 98% of cheffing/cooking is hard work, for not much reward at all except extremely long hours, huge stress, prevalent alcoholism, poor pay.
one of them in the series was a doctor previously and said that being on masterchef (1 televised cooking competition) was the highlight of their life. That person is never going to be a michelin starred chef, and all of them except perhaps the finalists will sink into obscurity in the cooking world
