please can anyone help me it was a film about an actress and her maid who was black and they both had daughters who grew up together but the coulred ladys was white white and dis owned her mother a real tearjerker just cant remember what it was called

I remember that film - 'Imitation of Life' starring Lana Turner (they don't make them like that any more !!) The daughter of the maid was ashamed of her and wanted to be white, she made up with her in the end when she was dying I think. Real weepy !!
