It was a shocking thing that happened to him when he was eight or nine and it did not go far enough into what occurred when he was passed into the hands of the woman who trafficked him. I suspect that money changed hands.

Yes. I found it very moving and very disturbing that trafficking is happening on such a large scale. Mo's description of his childhood was horrifying.

well I saw it and whilst Mo said he had to wash dishes and shower the children - I honestly do think it went far beyond that with the mystery man but that was his personal business.

I used to work with a guy who came from Kinshasa. He told me that children suffer generationally in places like the Congo. Generation after generation. It happened to them, so they carry it on to the next generation. If that mentality has arrived in this country with some immigrants, then in the context of what I was told, it's not surprising. However, we can't mention it in these areas can we because they might play the "racist" card. The beat goes on. Literally.

Perhaps he didn't feel comfortable enough discussing it 10/20 years ago. Apparently his wife didn't even know the full story for quite some time after they married.
