Not sure if this will run, but we'll have a go -

Has anyone watched one of both of the documentaries about Ron Jeremy, currently in prison after sex abuse charges, awaiting medical evaluation.

Any views on the programme(s) - and let's please remember that abuse is a very sensitive subject for some on here, and be mindful and respectful in our responses.

Food - your horrible chauvinism not withstanding, Ron Jeremy is not a 'victim' of any kind.

A man who has a University degree and used to teach special needs children knows basic humanity, and acceptable personal boundaries.
FoodRollt, interesting that you describe him as 'a victim of his profession' and the women from the same profession as 'dried up porn sows'.

Question Author
Barry, you call it 'interesting', I call it misogyny.
The somewhat patronising advice is reminiscent of the poster who said issues of obesity shouldn’t be discussed here lest the fat be offended. Not sure what the OP wants us to pussyfoot around.
Perhaps tread softly lest the workers in the virtue signal box get distracted?

Why do 'they' come for the baddies when they're all but dead anyway?

Watched quiet a few Ron Jeri vids in my time.

In my view, he fails to see the difference between reality and fantansy,

He is a lonely man.
Never been in a Primark, I'm more John Partridge and Cordings. I'll leave the Primark for you, Food

Foodrollt - // Andy-hughes, you asked, I answered. Youre in no position to sit there (hiding) with thinly veiled insults like the keyboardwarrior you obviously are ha ha ha pathetic //

I'm unsure why you think I am 'hiding' Foodrollt - I have been away since Sunday with no access to the internet, but that does not mean I am 'hiding'.

My response was not a 'thinly veiled insult', or anything of the kind, it was my response to your post, and that is how this site works.

When you've been here a little longer than your current three months or so, you will learn a few things about debate in general, and this site in particular.

One of the most important things is that everyone is absolutely entitled to express an opinion, within the confines of the Site Rules.

And everyone else is absolutely entitled to challenge any opinion with which they take issue, as I did, and we can discuss this further if you wish, or not, your choice.

I'm not sure why, on a first exchange. you would presume that I am a 'keyboard warrior' is, but as someone who has used a keyboard to communicate since well before the invention of the Internet, I can assure you I am no such thing.

I hope you will stay and learn a little more about actual exchanging of views, and if you do, be prepared and willing to have your views challenged - it's quite healthy for the mind, it makes you think whether your views are ones you actually sincerely wish to hold and defend, or not.

naomi - // The somewhat patronising advice is reminiscent of the poster who said issues of obesity shouldn’t be discussed here lest the fat be offended. //

Referring yo my request, rather than 'advice' as patronising' is an irony of galaxy-sized proportions, but on occasions we all suffer from the absence of self-awareeness, even you.

// Not sure what the OP wants us to pussyfoot around. //

I don't want you to 'pussyfoot around' anything, I would not be so naive as you assume that you would, for a moment.

My suggestion was that some might wish to remember that abuse is something that affects them deeply and permanently, when they post.

Others think that abusers need a quick kick in the privates, and the 'victims' need a brisk walk with the dogs and a cold shower before forgetting what happened for ever.

Those who may wish to consider the sensibilities of others may, or may not, pause for thought before they post.

Those who are as sensitive as a concrete lamppost will be baffled by the notion, and wonder what all the fuss is about.

I am sure you know which category you belong to.
And breath.
I mean breathe of course. An easy mistake to make when faced with such breathless determination.
Question Author
Naomi - "breathless determination"?

Are you adding the invention of language to your list of attributes now?
I can’t take credit for inventing any of those words.
Question Author
naomi - // I can’t take credit for inventing any of those words. //

I wasn't suggesting that you should, heaven forbid that I should massage your ego any further!

But language is not just the creation of words, it is their use in sentence construction, however mangled and unfathomable that may be.
//But language is not just the creation of words, it is their use in sentence construction, however mangled and unfathomable that may be. //

And you'd know all about mangled and unfathomable English! How funny!

Just one thing regarding your 22.34 post .... don't assume you know me. You don't.
Question Author
Naomi - // Just one thing regarding your 22.34 post .... don't assume you know me. You don't. //

As you are often prone to point out, I know what you post, and that is what I respond to.

You do the same, and I would not wish to prevent that for a moment, and I am sure you would extend to me the same courtesy.
Question Author
naomi - // And you'd know all about mangled and unfathomable English! //

Indeed I do - I read it regularly on here - your example is the latest in a long line ...
