Am I the only one feeling completely uninspired by this year's group of bakers? I'd be sending them all home and starting over.

I feel as if there isn't a 'buzz'. Contestants are bland.
On thinking I'd keep Janusz and Sandro.

I agree, I think the majority of them are rubbish and that woman who claims to have made many, many lemon meringue pies was useless, how did she get it so wrong ? I'm glad Carol went, but she should have gone last week, in my opinion.

Agreed. I often expect the older bakers to do well with traditional bakes, but it doesn't seem to be the case. It's 2 men doing best instead.

I've been watching the latest series of Australian Masterchef. Now that's a very good series. I'd been told it was entirely different from ours and made several failed attempts at watching it. Now I'm hooked. I'll be bereft when it ends next week.

I couldn't believe how the experienced lemon meringue pie woman got her lemon meringue pie so horribly wrong! Lol

It's one of the only shows I actually like to watch but it's getting a tad samey, samey. I'll carry on watching though. Early predictions to win - Maxy or Janusz.

I think it’s missing a ‘character’ or two. I thought the lady with the purple hair would fit the bill but I just found her annoying.
And yes, what was it with the lemon meringue???

I have watched almost every season of Aussie Masterchef and the current one is by far the worst..and totally unfair pitching home cooks (the fans) against show favourites (including previous winners) most of whom now have years of experience running restaurants.
Look up some of the early series, particularly pre-Covid with the original judges. Much better show then.
As regards Bake Off, I agree it's a bit meh this year.
