This is horrific....and so, so sad. Probably unavoidable too. News now saying death toll is 146.

That's awful, Pasta. Just tragic. So many young people will have wanted to be at the first non mask event.
Horrendous tragedy, wonder what caused the crush.
Absolutely horrendous tragedy. They must have been so frightened. A time for celebrating and it ends in disaster.

Awfully sad news, it's bad enough when tragedies happen, even worse when they're just going out to enjoy themselves.

I think I read there was 100,000 there... a tragedy waiting to happen.
So many devastated families.
Unimaginable suffering for those that died and were injured.
Young people just going out to enjoy themselves, never thinking about the risks of large crowds and crowd surge.
So tragic, and so very sad.

I thought this sort of human crush disaster was a rare event, I was shocked to find it happens far too often.
Barry, I thought of Hillsborough when I read this and checked to refresh my memory of how many people died there and it was 97. That was horrific enough, but 146 is unimaginable.
R.I.P to all those who died.
Those poor people and the survivors will have to live with the nightmare for the rest of their lives.
