I'm ruthless these days: programmes that look interesting get about 10 minutes or so and if they don't hold my attention I'm off. The English tonight was swiftly abandoned to watch Ben Fogle on St Kilda - much more interesting.
i thought it was brilliant, I binged the whole lot and was amazed at the cinematography, acting by the main leads and all round storylines which were just this side of complex, leading to a fascinating portrayal of life in the wild west. I doubt they will make another one like it.
I am pacing myself. The juxtaposing of an English lady bent on revenge with a taciturn Native American and the brutality of the barren landscape is brilliant. What did the British do for us? They brought smallpox and lied.
