I think an early episode of EastEnders, might have been the first one, featured a suspicious death. I believe now the soaps are awash with the blood of murder victims. Is this a reflection of the violent times we live in, or a good way to attract more viewers?

Humanity does take a heightened interest in murder, as is proven in its constant use as a plot device in fiction, and a subject for serious documentaries and non-fiction writing.

Absolutely, as they say - 'The wages of sin is death.'

But the additional benefits are amazing!!

Speaking of gay snogging, there's nothing new under the sun. How long is it now since Barry and Colin outraged the editors of the tabloids by kissing on screen?
