I watched it last Friday when it came out.
Not as good as the TV series - more far-fetched than the series, so you have to suspend your belief in reality a bit.
But classic Luther - I enjoyed every minute of it.
And Idris Elba is wonderful, as always.
Well worth watching.
I hated it. I've never watched Luther. It was more like a horror film to me. And I certainly wouldn't like to see Idris Elba as James Bond.
As for Andy Serkis he terrified me. No wonder he was chosen to play Gollom in Lord of the rings!
I was just saying to the boss last night that I first saw Mr Elba as Stringer Bell in The Wire so now struggle with his own accent, a tribute to his talent I think.
Never watched Luther but see it's available to stream from the beginning, I'm going to give it a try and see if I agree with the panel and might go to the film if the TV impresses.
