worst remake

ive just watched the remake of charlie and the chocolate factory,and it is without doubt the worst remake i've ever seen,what is the worst remake you guys have seen?

Ludwig is absolutly right. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is NOT a remake. It's not even a reimagining. It is the film version of the book and a very very good one at that.

The problem people have with remakes is that their memories of the original often cloud their judgement.

People I have spoken to say they hate the Oompa Lumpas because they haven't got orange hair and sing Oompa Lumpa Umpety Boo.

Sure, Gene Wilder is fantastic as Willy Wonka bur Jonny Depp is simple awsome.

The only thing I hate about both films is Wonka's manipulation of the children.

Basiclly, each of the children fails beacuse of their own greed (Augustus with choclate, Violet with chewing gum, Veruca with her desire to want everything and Mike's addiction to television) it is only Charlie who isn't tempted by anything.

To make matters worse, in the original version, Charlie steals fizzy lifting drink and is still given a chance to win. Augustus isn't even given an everlasting gobstopper so he can't give it back the way Charlie does.

By the way, In my opinion Get Carter is the worst remake.

I have to agree with the above post - Charlie and the Chocolate factory is actually an adaptation of the Roald Dahl book of the same name. It is not a remake of the film Willie Wonka and the chocolate factory which was disowned by the dahl family and was not even allowed to have the same name as the book
