Not sure how I feel about this, a career in tatters because of a brother? And how many gay people have tried to cover it by being in a heterosexual relationship or worse still, getting married,it must have been very hard for him living a lie and he didn’t choose to have a pervert for a brother, I feel slightly sorry for him
Bobbi, it has been reported in the national press as press that Philip's brother told him about the assaults two years ago and his only reaction was to tell him not to do it again.
Subsequently, the brother told his psychiatrist about his offending and also that he'd told Philip. The psychiatrist reported it to the police, including the fact that Philip knew.
It was only when the police confronted Philip after the brother's arrest that he made the statement.
I'm not saying or suggesting that other offences occurred but his brother could have committed many more during Philip's two year's of silence. That to my mind is unforgivable.
