I thought it was very slow and awful acting. I don't think I have ever heard so much gratuitous effing and blinding and that was from, mainly, the female actors. Did they really swear that much in a village up 't North. I see a token dark skinned family was shoe horned in along with a woman with a dubious crop more fitting for a Gay Pride march. No. It is based on historical fact that certainly would draw my attention but not how the BBC wants to portray it. Might watch the second episode but not enamoured with it thus far. :-(
