Wow! Just Wow! He may be bad on his legs, but boy! He’s still got his voice! (Not like some others).

The great thing about Elton is that it's not just the voice ... which is not the same as it was before, some ways better, other ways worse - but it's the words, his music, the band, the history, the audience ... it is something else.

What a performance WOW sums it up. I've seen him a few times over the years and he's always great, no messing around just song after great song - just left ve him
Now that made me laugh - a lot :D
^ what happened there. Just love him
Margo, he outsings McCartney, but so do I ;)

btw, my other post was for royfromaus!
@ 22:50 "very good, very fat" I suspect you fit into that description and I doubt it's the first one. Add to that "very jealous"
Are you saying that I was wrong on both counts?
I thought his quality was amply demonstrated by the lacklustre guest artists that I saw.

Brandon Flowers, the guy in pink and the gal in the beachwear. They all need to try harder.
All those guests would have been flown in specially for this...yet no climate protesters to be seen anywhere near Glastonbury.
They were 'avin' a day orf, roy.
apparently in the 70s, 2% of all records sold, worldwide, were his.
Climate *** would not have stood a chance with the Glastonknights!
It went a bit slow when the guests were on, but otherwise brilliant
I am not an EJ fan but I thought the concert was a fitting UK finale to a long career. Looks like he needs a knee replacement but his voice was strong for a 76 year old. I wasn’t sure about the guests, except for Stephen Sanchez who I thought was really good.
Had this on in the van driving home from Blackpool and was singing all the way home. Brilliant.
I was worried his last British appearance would be poor, but I’ve seen him many times and his rendition of ‘ candle in the wind’ was so good.
Best time to go, leave on a high .
I was surprised he played Candle in the Wind. A bit maudlin I thought.
I like the way he's altered some songs to fit his voice as he's aged. The higher notes in Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and Tiny Dancer have disappeared. Great show and the two hours raced by.
They said on BBC Five Live this morning that he didn't hang around after his spot, they said he hopped in a car, drove a short distance to a helicopter and was home in Windsor in 39 minutes, rocket man indeed!!
