On today's show:

Q - Queen Mary Tudor of England was known by what nickname?
A - Mary Queen of Scots.

I recall seeing that at the time. Not good to rile your opponent unless you know you can walk the walk.

Which, of course, she did, after two questions.

I just loved Anne's comment about manners, thought she was being tough but she was just being rude, loved it.

It was brilliant, Anne was amazing there, the cheek  of her, reformed fatty having a dig at Anne

Both of those questions were pretty easy. This was more of a kamikaze mission than Anne doing anything ... the contestant must have shed some brain cells along with the fat cells.

What a stupid contestant, deliberately trolling Anne. Kharma ensued of course.

JimF, that would be me. OK at home, rabbit in the headlights under pressure of tv.

I remember a question coming up (can't remember the correct way it was put) about the nickname of women working in noisy cotton mills.

Like an idiot, from the sofa with a cup of tea, answered "Cloth ears".

The answer was Spinsters.

That's why I could never go on.

I don't think the pressure got to her at all, she was just too full of herself and over confident. Can you imagine working with someone like that!

JimF, I didn't know the Mary Tudor of England answer either. Better to make a guess than not answer.

There have after all been many Monarchs of England and Scotland, so while wrong I don't agree it is stupid to say it.

Seriously? Bloody Mary?

I totally agree with Hopkirk.

I always think they should answer with anything that comes to mind rather than pass (in case they get it wrong).

There again, I've no room to talk. I'd be rubbish.

Wish the AB "Chase"critics would apply to go on and let us see how clever they are - or not.

Who's criticising The Chase? I am certainly not doing that.

No you're not JimF.

I look forward to the upcoming Mensan invitational week where the intensely opinionated go home empty handed but we never hear the end of it and how they were robbed.

"the intensely opinionated"

And who might they be?

Ganging up again  ....  you know what I meant!!

The OP seems to have found himself on the naughty step - again...
