My postman came the other morning and said I'd made his day.  My tumble drier was wafting his favourite smell - clean laundry - out onto the drive.  He was standing there sniffing the air like a Bisto Kid!

What's your favourite smell?  I plump for vanilla.

Vanilla is also mine. In the Khasi and my car. I do like the Gel air freshner with the Blueberry aroma for the car as well.

Various.

I love the smell of woodsmoke, it reminds me of music festivals.

I also love a variety of perfumes - Poison is my all time favourite, it reminds me of times past.

The smell of a baby's skin is wonderful.

I think the ability of scents to instantly evoke past times in our lives is very powerful.

Rive Gauche.  Sigh

Newly mown grass and entering the perfumery dept. in a large store.

cinnamon

pipe tobbaco

burning peat

//Newly mown grass//

Crikey. That's enough to get people running for their Beconase and Hay fever pills.i

Unrequited love, brainiac?

Oh no, naomi, very  requited.   Two different people, too  :)

Doughnuts

Blackberries

Coffee

Musk

Vanilla, freshly baked bread.

My daughter and I both love the more 'masculine' scents for candles/room fragrance, and even cologne...bourbon, tobacco, sandlewood, oak, moss, musk

brainiac, not at the same time I trust.  ;o)

Ha, no - just a coincidence some years later

Opening a new foil thing of earl grey tea, sticking my nose in and inhaling the aroma.

Vanilla I find very cloying in anything except cakes, if I want a room spray it has to be either linen or seaside.

Coffee. Outdoor dried laundry. Autumn bonfire. The sea in winter

Anything citrusy or lavender.

Fresh tar, creosote.  Bacon, grilled or fried.  Frying onions.  Grilled Cheddar cheese.  Fresh-cut grass.  Petrichor; first rain after a dry spell.  Probably more I can't think of right away.

I used to buy Rive Gauche for both a dear friend & the ex Mrs L-i K & loved the scent.

I love the smell of napalm in the morning.

At other times, i quite like the smell of white spirits and/or turps

Fried onions, fresh mown grass, two stoke petrol, wood fires, linoleum, baked bread, new books.

I have never sniffed a baby’s skin intentionally AH, though with four kids all using Terry nappies I’ve had a few unenviable encounters.

Funnily enough Vagus,  my son reckons I'm addicted to Tea bags I always have a sniff in the tin when getting them out. I didn't realise I did that until he told me.   Like Pasta I prefer the smell of mens cologne more than ladies perfumes.  But I do like Armani Code perfume.  I really dislike flowery or sweet smells.

And LIK I like the smell of creosote too!

Patchouli, memories of youth. 🤗
