Perhaps our resident critics of alleged Tory sleaze would care to comment on the report that Tony Blair accepted one million pound donation to the Labour Party for forcing through the ban on fox hunting.

Unfortunately the left have a perfect excuse.  Everyone knows this warmonger should be in jail and is a despicable character. Even the left generally hate him.

But like I say in the list of Sir Tony's crimes pales into insignificance.

He didn't just "ban" it: it had to go through Parliament. I am neutral on the issue, as I know little about it but I don;t think you can lump "rural communities" together and claim that the issue has caused an irreparable divide between labour and anyone who lives in a forest. Many country dwellers opposed hunting with hounds also. My aunt was a farmer's wife in Devon, a Tory voter, and she hated it.

I think that an issue such as animal welfare is not quite the same as a backhander for services rendered: the idea of immorality only gains traction if you make the sort of claims about the after effects made in this link. Which I think are dubious at best.

All sorts of manifesto promises come from different sources: they have to come from somewhere.

Ich, the issue is irrelevant the point here is that if you donate £1m to the party they'll enact legislatiion of your choice. That is surely in the "sleaze" bracket.

Berrnie Ecclescake also donated £1m, wonder what he got.
