By "celebrity version", do you perhaps mean the 2nd series of the US show?

"The second season of US edition of the show, which is hosted by Alan Cumming, features some recognisable UK faces including previous Love Island contestant Ekin-Su CülcüloÄŸlu and former House of Commons speaker John Bercow, as well as TV personalities like Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks and returning Below Deck star Kate Chastain."

"...the BBC will be following up on the latest UK series with more from Australia, New Zealand and the US, with all of this treachery to be available across 2024 on BBC iPlayer."

I think I want Harry to win...

Question Author

LiK, no, not the US version.  I read they're making a celebrity version of our one.  By the way, I watched the last US version - just as good - and I know they've got at least one well known face in the next one.

Question Author

I know what you mean.  I can't make up my mind if I don't like Harry because he's a Traitor or if I do like him because he's played the part so brilliantly.  He deserves to win really.

I don't know if I'd like a celebrity version, I heard if there was one, Matt Hancock would be up for it, so when I hear his name and the usual suspects, I just think, swapping one reality tv for the next, I prefer ordinary people. I also heard they would look at getting in Vardy and Coleen Rooney - proper traitors there ðŸ¤£ but that of course was suggested tongue in cheek. I'm not too keen on Evie being in the final line up, I'd like her to be banished tonight.

Ah, sorry, I'd not seen anything about a UK version, but a quick look around doesn't give much - http://tinyurl.com/5awnrk6y

The only one I don't want to win is Jaz, he's irked me by being suspicious of Harry, who I really, really, think I want to win... 😂

Jaz I feel was not in the right mindset to go on that show after he told of his cheating dad and the secret life he led they only found out about recently, so he went in suspicious of his own shadow

Question Author

Oh my heavens!  Gemma Collins and Matt Hancock would be a nightmare!  Probably very funny though.

Poor Molly, she adored Hary

Question Author

That was my sentiment exactly, barry.  I felt so sorry for her - but wasn't she daft not to realise what was going on when Jaz wanted another vote?  If he'd been a Traitor he wouldn't have done that.  He would have wanted it ended.   What a superb ending though!

She was naive, Harry charmed her and she fell hook line and sinker.  I always warned my children to beware charmers and victims.

Harry was a bit too gloating but I don't know how I'd react in that situation, the release of tension and stress must have been huge.

I wanted Andrew or Molly to win.

Question Author

I think she cottoned on but just couldn't bring herself to believe it.  She'd actually written Harry's name on her slate - and changed it.  I felt so sorry for her.  She was absolutely devastated.

harry played the game very well but he was also very lucky... two other people made huge mistakes that would have destroyed him. jaz failed to push harry hard enough on the lie he told about feeding information back to paul, and molly made a huge error in eliminating jaz... if jaz was a traitor why on earth would he have voted for a second round of banishment at the fire pit?

he deserves his win but he was extremely lucky that those two made such big mistakes in the final. they all but handed it to him.

if jaz had just pushed a bit harder and said something like "how could paul have known exactly what i said to you, if you didn't tell him" then i think harry would have been banished instead of eevie. jaz was too cautious.

//if jaz was a traitor why on earth would he have voted for a second round of banishment at the fire pit?//

Exactly!

I thought every mission was excellent - very well thought out, hard but do-able.

Does anyone know if the contestants get paid for taking part - perhaps expenses for loss of pay and so on.  I hope they do, after all the celebs get paid for taking part in charity editions of game and quiz shows

Though I didnt want Harry to win, he played a brilliant game and totally hoodwinked and manipulated Mollie. It must have been very difficult for her, particularly when Harry relayed that he had been a traitor from the very beginning.

I also liked the missions in the series, very imaginative and unlike I'm a Celebrity, not designed to humiliate or gross out contestants

Question Author

I'm sure they get paid, barry.

The contestants get a small allowance barry to covr their costs while filming

It was excellent last night - why did Mollie change her mind ðŸ™ˆ
L-I-K will be happy though
Found this online, so they do fairly ok financially for taking part and because it was such a hit this year they will get advertising offers and the like

TV columnist Sara Wallis told MirrorOnline that while they don't get an official wage for participating, they are financially reimbursed for their time. She said: "The contestants don’t technically get paid, but obviously they have to take weeks off work, losing wages. It doesn’t seem fair that should lose money by taking part so they are reimbursed with around £100 a day."

Question Author

According to the internet they are 'reimbursed' for loss of wages etc., at £100 a day.  Not much.
