I watched an episode of 'Allo 'Allo the other day and laughed just as much as I did when they were first screened. Brilliant! The writing is second to none. So clever!

I recently discovered an old Welsh sitcom that as far as I know wasn't broadcast outside Wales - High Hopes. Worth a watch if you like traditional format sitcoms.
I'm currently the first series of Home Sweet Home with William Gaunt and a very yiung Martin Clunes - BBC4
Difficult to pick one out. I return time and time again to some clips on YouTube which still make me laugh even after repeated viewings.
Clips from the likes of Two Ronnies, Vicar of Dibley, Fawlty Towers, and others.
Oddly enough Allo Allo was one of two popular comedies I could never get into (Only Fools and Horses being the other), but watching YouTube clips now has me laughing away. Most peculiar.
As for good writing, The Upstart Crow was a brilliant example IMHO.
