Anybody watching. I know I know, it's all a setup, competitors from all over the world etc. etc., but I find it mildly entertaining. But, that black girl in denim with the greasy untidy hair and no back teeth, REALLY !Apparently she is not just a teacher for difficult children, but also she's a professional singer in a musical somewhere. My main comment though is WHY are there so many people in England who lose back teeth and don't get replacements ?? Surely dentists arrange payment plans ?

I know they are singing with a backing track, but I think it's a bit unfair to have backing singers on that track which is what she had.

So she is a professional singer?  What an actress then.  She seemed genuinely surprised at the reaction to her song.  And that isn't fair.  Don't we have any decent acts in BRITAIN who are amateurs?  The programme is becoming a joke.

I used to always watch it, but now after the endless sob stories etc etc,  and kids crying, I just gave up.

Could she sing?

Her lack of back teeth wouldn't concern me

I'm with smow in beating a hasty retreat from it and for the same reason.  I can't stand the hysteria.

My goodness!!   Barry!!!  Yes it's her but what a charlatan.  Look at her on BGT.  All coy she was.  Shouldn't be allowed.

And she sang Natural Woman as mentioned in the article.  What a liar.

I haven't watched BGT so is anyone going to tell me if she can sing?

Oh yes, brilliant singer, but professional, surely shouldn't be looking all shy and innocent on BGT.

BGT has never been for amateurs only, never claimed to be

my daughter ws on the live auditions this year.  they have to go trough producer auditions (x2) and send in videos(x2) before even getting to the palladium for a live audition.  it is 'set up' in the fact they have to pick acts that arent all similar/dont sound/look alike to o through

also, dunno who wrote that article but they need to step away from the exclamation marks.

^Yes. Fewer exclamation marks and more hyphens is what we need.

With regard to the lady's teeth - a lot of people simply don't worry about not having back teeth, if they are able to eat properly, and don't care too much about their appearence, then what you see is what you get.

She is an average singer, no more no less.

As always, for any winner, winning is not the main point.

If you are in people's living rooms for about twelve weekends on the bounce, with attendent media hype, you are going to be 'known', and a percentage of people will buy your first single on that basis, and you may get a hit with it.

What about a few months later, when it's cold out, and people are expected to come out to a theatre or similar venue, and pay £25 to watch you perform.

Do you hack it then?

Usually not, which is why the entire premise is a nonsense.

But it's prime time TV, and its produced and edited to appeal to the mass audience that enjoys it for the time it's on, and thinks about the 'talent' for a few weeks, and then promptly forgets all about it when the show goes off air.
