Does anyone immediately know of one? I spent about half an hour in boots today looking at 20 million different toothpastes and didn't immediately find one

Do you use Biotene mouthwash, bednobs?  It gives me some relief, they also make toothpaste and mouth gel

I use a mixture of Listerine and corsodyl depending on how much it's hurting! I've never heard of that one you recommend I'll have a look

I ended up liking Sensodyne and Tom's of Maine, as they both offer options without sodium lauryl sulfate. I also found that health food stores sometimes have a better variety if you want to explore more natural brands like Jason or Burt's Bees. It might take a bit of hunting, but there are definitely good options out there!
