It was a docu-drama.
I didnt see the show, but from what I've read about it , I believed it showed experiments on dogs and monkeys. I think its good that channel would show what really goes on behind doors. I can imagine that the show was not easy viewing
i watched it to the prt with the bloke punching and shaking the dog. then i turned over. i can handle alot, but animal cruelty is one i cant handle
I didnt watch it but i feel sick at what youve said happened! what kind of experiment needs a dog to be punched and shaken?? what will they get from that? i always wonder how these people who harm animals would feel if they had exactly the same thing done to them! not too happy i would imagine!
As it was a docu-drama, some of the footage shown was documentation. Sadly, the one where they shook the dog and punched it was actual footage.

The scene of the dog being punched was from a secret camera in another country. It was to highlight how badly the animals can be treated. This scene sickened me. But as a result of this footage being made public the regulations on British test facilities was tightened up, to make sure that things like that wouldn't happen here. Apparently Britain has the most stringent regulations.

So is there a website or someone i could write to to look into this further? Id like to do something to help. My opinion is that of a few but not everyone sadly.. Animals should NOT be used for experiments!! Our prisons are full to bursting with bad, bad people. Use them!! Anyone else agree? I still feel disgusted knowing what i saw the other night including actual footage! Im so angry!!

totally agree MsBehave- I actually found myself shaking with anger over the live footage parts. Sadly we ARE in the minority and whilst we are, animal experimentation will continue.

Thanks BOO, thats an interesting site. I am going to look into this further now and i advise anyone reading this to do the same.

I have read about animals having stuff implanted in their heads but seeing a picture of an animal who actually had this done makes it SO more real and upsetting. I find it so totally unacceptable that things like this are going on in the world today. We are better than this surely???

As I said MsBehave a small minority of us are. The main thing is that alot of what does go on is unknown to the general public. If it was known, the vast majority would be appalled.

Sadly, alternative methods (though usually more effective) are not carried out as animal testing is still considered the cheaper option.

I'll apologise now if you found that site upetting.
