Intending To Order Your First Motability Car?

I have just discovered that you will get an extra £750 - if you order the car before January 3 2025. It was due to end on December 31st but has been extended.  This money can be paid directly to the dealer to cover an advance payment or in to your bank account.

I'm assuming people entitled to a Motability car are aware of this change but there may be someone who didn't know and intended ordering the car after the Christmas holidays.

Who are entitled to these cars and who pays for them?

People with disabilities may be entitled to certain benefits that have a mobility component - a monthly payment.  They can choose to spend that payment however they life - in the pub, on bingo, give it to their kids. 

They can choose to lease a car through the Motability scheme using their monthly payment.  If they want a more expensive car they have to make an advance payment which could be several thousands of pounds.
