Good riddance.  Utterly shameful.

Agreed.  I see all this as an opportunity to turn the C of E around and return to local ministry of people in smaller units - called parishes, where if there is suspicion of anyone it can be dealt with locally and quickly.

I expect to be yelled at, but I really am no supporter of the bloated C of E heirarchy and want to go back to basics.

Well that's how I feel anyway.

Religions seem to be run by bossy blokes who are miles away from the oddbods who inspired them. Did Jesus expect or advocate a worldly 'kingdom' of gilded churches and gaily-dressed kings and princes, who advocated that the celibacy of those who expected the Messiah tomorrow (and therefore didfn't need to breed) should persist for thousands of years?

Er, I don't know enough about other religions, so I'll pipe down now.

Good show atheist!

I  feel sorry  for these old administrators, You hear a priest is er screwing a parishioner, a doctor killing  his patients ( Shipman I know  this is AB) or a nurse doing ditto ( allitt, letby)

and you  immediately think - "they cant be. They know  they cant do that . There must be an explanation"

as opposed to a claim that a doctor or nurse has been stealing drugs ( to which you think " O god that again, fire them")

They never learn do they. Sweeping it under the carpet only makes it a hundred times worse when inevitably someone lifts the carpet.
