I was in the middle of a busy time at work last year when the second series came back of this drama. I never did find out what the answer was from the end of the first series e.g. when Nicky should have been on some job with his DCI who ended up getting shot.

The last scene in the first series showed Nicky being told what happened to his superior, and whether he had survived but the viewers didn't know.

Can someone let me know? It'll bug me if I don't find out!
