Did anyone else get confused regarding the time-sequence. The man dying in the fire, the Americans arriving, the hooch activity at the pub - and even the welcome party - were all supposed to happen at the same time? - O.K. But the girl is pregnant by the newly arrived American (verified by the doctor) whilst at the same time the police are investigating the fire. I try to ignore the silliness of most T.V. plots but still spend so much time being distracted by illogical timings that I lose the current plot.
I'm afraid I didn't notice as I was too busy gazing at Honeysuckle Weeks and wishing I was as pretty, but you've raised a good point. They certainly didn't give the impression the action took place over a couple of months. It will remind me to pay more attention next week, if I can.
Wasn't there the suggestion that, while she was preggers, it wasn't the yank wot dun it, but he was being stitched up by her. He was a big innocent and she wanted a man who'd take her to America.
Anyone else think that the fields were very hilly for an aerodrome?
I taped it, because I thought they were all repeats then I saw it start and didn't recognise it. Hope it's one I haven't seen yet. Though with Honeysuckle in it, who cares? I can stand to watch her again, I mean it again.
