The first programmes went out in October last year and the BBC website says the next four will be shown this Spring and the final five programmes go out in the autumn 2001. The second volume of the book The Fate of Empire 1603-2000 is being published now and the first book of the series At The Edge of the World? 3000BC-1603 is available to buy now
