Has anyone seen this excellent Irish-humour film,and did they think it was as good a laugh as I did

I liked the film, but I loved the book. My fave book bit is when the nappy(used) gets into the deepfat fryer. You can't beat Roddy Doyle, well you can ... but the Gardi take a dim view!
The Snapper was much better than the Van. Typical North side of Dublin humour so they say.

The hubbie lived in Dublin for years, I think the reasons I prefer the books is because I have no problems visualising the scenarios, wheras my friend said she needed to see The Snapper. I have been thinking about the actors who were in it , I wonder what the wages bill would be to get that lot together now !
