Hiya

A couple of weeks back i was in bed poorley and woke up in the afternoon to this programe on my tv, at first i thought it was Doctors but i watched that yesterday and didnt seem like it. The epsiode showed an old man looking for a women, who was a wife of a man he was in the navy with, he had something to tell this women, but then had an heart attack. He did survive and i think they found the lady (fell back asleep).

Can anyone tell me what it was called, Also there was a cafe that was getting sold due to a divorce.

It was one of the afternoon plays called 'Jim's wife'

Funny I was watching it trying to think of the womans name in it and it's Ruth Gemmel from Fever Pitch.

Thats the one,

Was it a film or just a one off?

Thanks

Just a one off, 'The Afternoon Play' series comes around every few months on BBC1, different one everyday for a week - it's better than most of the pap they serve up on primetime!!

Defenatley, Good job i work or i would be bored once This Morning and the news finishes!!

Did you watch it all? Do you happen to know if they found the dead mans wife, and did them too get back together?

Ooops, apologies for the delay in replying!

Yes, they found the wife (in France?) and the bloke drove all the way there to get her and drive her back showing himself to be a kind and compassionate fellow thus rekindling the soon to divorced couples love for each other.

And they all lived happily ever after......aaaaahhhhhhhhhh
