I see that the academy has finaly come out of the closet,Brokeback Mountain has been nominated for several oscars,we saw the film and did not think much of it,(not because of the gay theme)we just thought it was too much of a statement and not a film,anybody seen it and what did you think.thanks.

I agree, i was a bit let down after all the hype. It was sad, i came out crying and i thought the photography was stunning, butit did not shout Oscar winner to me.

I think it won;t win as many Oscars as expected, Hollywood is far too conservative to go overbaord with this subject matter. i haven't seen the film, not becuase I object to the subject matter, just the way it's treated. I find the notion of "Hey, gays is just like us ordinary folks!" a bit hard to take.
