it was a young lad who lived with his mum. and they had an alien living with them. he looked like a 20-22 year old lad. think he invented things all the time. there was also a hatch between the front room and the kitchen for passin food n stuff if that helps.

It may have been either Wat on Earth which was a BBC kids show where there was an alien who had back to front ears and could turn himself into objects or Mike and Angelo on ITV which i didn't watch but i seem to remember that Mike, or Angelo (the alien) was American...

It's definitely Mike and Angelo- Angelo was the alien inventor, Mike was the American kid.
