We are reminicing about our favourite tv programs as a child, does anyone remember Maxies World??

My favourites were:

  • Trapdoor
  • Denver the last dinosaur
  • Rude dog & the dweebs
  • The Racoons
  • Superted
  • Jimbo
  • Duckula
  • Bertha
  • Simon and the witch

Kids are so deprived these days, any links for Maxies World would definately be appreciated, to prove it actually existed!!!

I loved the Raggy Dolls too, and the moomins. I sooooo wanted to be Melanie or Martine!
Note not 1 answer for flaming Blue Peter. No-one I've ever met like Blue Peter, but it always seems to get to the top of the 100 Best lists

During the 70's you had to be either a 'Magpie' fan or a 'Blue Peter' fan. I was a Magpie fan but unfortunately my mother wanted me to watch the 'more educational' BP :o(

Likewise, I had to watch TISWAS when my mum went out to the kitchen ~ in between times I had to put up with 'Multi-coloured Swap Shop'

Nat and OBonio - how cool is that? I LOVED the daft noise too (I'm doing it as I type!!! Ok, tmi ).

Thanks guys, you made me laugh out loud, despite having a thumping headache. OBonio, hope Jnr is doing fantastically well and Nat...I take it your big day is 2 weeks tomorrow?? Hwo excited are you!!??)

What a lovely smiley start to a weekend......xxxx

Racoons - that was cool Button moon was one of my faves and Dangermouse

The best: Jamie and the Magic Torch, Chorlton and the Wheelies, Pigeon Street, Mr Ben, Take Hart, Dangermouse, Terrahawks, Jonny Briggs, Itsy and Bitsy (I know the guy who created them!)

Automan- early computer generated hero who glowed like the Ready-Brek kids?

Oh, forgot Bananaman! And Captain Pugwash, Rentaghost etc.
