i dont suppose anyone was watching the episode of richard and judy last week when they said that flying may not be as safe as we think it is! i wanted to catch it to see what they were going to say about that, did anyone see it and if so what was the outcome??thanks for any help.

They were talking about the `Ryanair` documentary that was on the other nite on Ch4. It showed that the pilots and air staff are all over-worked and showed footage of some of them asleep ! Just don`t fly with Ryanair.

They were talking to a gentleman who basically had a problem with the way the statistics were being caculated biasing the safety figures. The data is represented as number of incidents compared to miles flown per passenger. He implied this skewed the data as most accidents happened on landing or take off and distance of the flight overall was relatively unimportant in relation to flight safety. A semantic argument then began between him and some spokeswoman for the airline industry. Ryanair was not, to my knowledge, mentioned at all.
