Should 'The Office' return for a third series, or just stop now and keep the cult classic status it has attained? Dunno about the rest of you, but I just gotta know if Dawn & Tim get it together !!!!!

Much better to quit now while they're ahead and leave us remembering the good bits.
That said, I hear he has been approached to make a film version of The Office so wait and see.
I'm with Bob and Andy here - much as we all find TO hilarious, series 2 did seem to be stretching it. Series 1, for example, had David as an eccenticc, a little strange and a bit of a loner: a parody but still totally believable. In ep 4 (I think) he did a motivational speech with singing, dancing and music. Funny but not true to life.
By the way I heard a rumour of a US version with Ted Danson.
I think the last series was beautifully written, observed and acted - a masterpiece of comedy from everyone involved. I'd just be scared that RG would squeeze the life out of it if he wrote another series. A Christmas special would tie up all the loose ends, let Tim and Dawn run away together, allow one last guest appearance by Finchy and let Creepy Gareth play another round of Top Trumps.
I'm a woman who likes The Office - why wouldn't I? I agree with those who thought the 1st series was better - it was better scripted while the 2nd series, although very funny in parts, seemed to over-rely on wince-inducing situations for laughs. Nothing in the 2nd series came close to, "He's thrown a kettle over a pub, what have you ever done?"! I hear there will be more but they've not said if it will be another series or a Xmas special. I'd be happy with just a one-off so we can see Tim & Dawn get together!
They should leave it at this second series. If they made a third series it would probably wouldn't be as good at all and might only appeal to a small audience. I mean look at the Leage of Gentlemen, I loved the first two series' but this third series had its good parts but just didn't seem to have the quality of the first two sereies'.
