Heartbeat/The Royal

Having just seen the repeats of the first series of Heartbeat on ITV3, I was struck by the likeness of the bus driver in tonight's episode and Dr Ormerod in The Royal.

Is it possible that they are both played by the same actor. Thanks

yes, its possible - the royal is a spin off from heartbeat, and is made by the same people

Not just possible but quite likely, I'd say. They quite often use the same actors in different roles. For example, Vanessa Hehir was in an episode of Heartbeat as the girlfriend of an absconded prisoner a couple of years before she got the role as Rosie. There are also a couple of episodes that have quite large guest parts for Benedict Cumberbatch, in two completely different characters.
