Ok, it's not film or tv, but anyway:
Who do you think will take over from Johnny Walker after he leaves at the end of March?
It seems to be between Stuart Maconie and Chris Evans. Personally I think Maconie is the better of the two, I will go as far as to say I will throw my radio out the window if Evans gets the job.
Any thoughts?
thanks

Evans is good at the odd occasional show..couldnt cope with him long-term
I could go for a whole day of Wogan, Bruce, and Vine. Those 3 are the best
Cant stand Sarah Kennedy (Im thankful I dont get up that early any more), & Steve Wright gets on my nerves as well
I would hope it is Stuart Maconie, he has a great sense of wit, and he assumes a level of intelligence on the part of his listeners. I find Johnnie Walker (whisper it!) a bit thick. You listen when he is interviewing people - as they finish an answer he always goes "Right ..." as though he either wasn't really listening, or didn't really understand, or didn't really care, or maybe any or all of them!
I don;t wish the guy any harm, but i for one think he is well past his sell-by date. If they can just get rid of that Sally woman, my evening listening will be blissfull.
Didn't know he was leaving. I'm a big R2 fan, listening to most shows from Terry Wogan up to Johnny Walker, and then Mark Radcliffe in the late evening,Janice Long in the wee small hours. It has the best range of music than any other radio station. I would like to see Stuart Maconie get the job. He also writes a good article in Country Walking magazine.
