Do you have any peculiar quirks of eating chocolate bars and what do you think it says about you...?

fry's turkish delight - i pull all the thick choc off the top and then eat - i used to pull all the choc off but its got too thin now and is impossible.

twix - i chomp all the toffee off the bicuit and i am left with just the biccy

mars bar - same as twix but i am left with the brown stuff.

same with a double decker

bounty - all choc is bitten off

jaffa cake - i eat the sponge from around the edges then i remove the orangey bit, eat the rest of the sponge, then 'peel' the choc off the orangey bit, then eat the orangey bit.

caramel - nibble the choc aroung the edges of the square, then chomp the bottom bit of choc off, then eat the rest

most box of chocolates chocs are eaten like the caramel.

this is NOT done with military precision or neatness, more just a little routine that i barely notice i am doing it - and only if i have time and i am just sitting watching tv or something - if i am on the move it just gets chomped.

anyone else do this kind of thing??

cheers

I'll bet there's a right mess when you've finished eating all that lot. Give up chocolate for lent and then u can enjoy all those eggs on Easter Sunday.
Kitkat dipped into cup of tea and suck all the chocolate off.

Please don't talk about Turkish Delight, just the mention of it makes my toenails curl :p

Not a bar but Lindor... (heaven) pop it in and wait till it melts then savour the almost cold, soft bit in the middle whilst ignoring family and friends who are disgusted by the chocolatey dribbles from the side of your mouth ;o)

actually i know someone who bites the ends off a blue riband and sucks tea through it - i don't do that though.

Cadburys cream egg gets:-

  1. The top bitten off and quickly eaten

  2. I insert my tongue and lick all the cream from inside the body of the egg

  3. when all the cream has gone I keep the chocolate body on my tongue untill it's al melted.

dunno what that says about me and frankly, I dont care as they are soooooooooo nice

silly me forgot to mention that while you are waiting on the chocolate to melt, drink tea, hot tea and it turns all chocolaty.

heaven

Bite off opposite corners of a penguin, dip in tea and suck through one corner. Wait a few seconds, then the whole lot will melt in your mouth! Heaven! You have to show people two or three times to prove it works - well thats my excuse!

Freddoes - stick the whole thing in your gob on top of your tongue and wait for it to melt.

Marks & Spencer used to do a small round biscuit that was like a mini chocolate Hob Nob - we used to call them 'one in the mouth' biscuits - for obvious reasons. One dip in your tea and then into your mouth to melt -orgasmic!

After Eights - nibble all round the outside edge then try to crack the chocolate and peel off piece by piece leaving a sticky mess in your fingers which you can then lick off.

Same technique for a box of chocs when you don't know which one is which - just pray you don't get the coffee one......

ditto on the after eights - but try this - nibble all the edges off, then slowly slide the two sheets of chocolate aginst each other in opposite directions, see if you can get them all the way apart without breaking the chocolate
joko, the blue riband thing is what I do with Cadburys Choc Fingers...the trick is to eat the finger as quick as you can before it falls into the mug..I do it with coffee!!! YUM
Well of course, I don't eat anywhere near that amount of chocolate :0-) but I eat a Twix the opposite way to joko - biscuit first, then the caramel bit. As for Viscount biscuits - you have to eat the minty bit first, anything else is just plain wrong :-)

I'm with reddoggy on the subject of Turkish Delight, and feel much the same about Creme Eggs (ick!) and Bounty (coconut is evil).

I have to walk past the Viscount section with one eye closed.

Mars bars straight from the fridge & cut into thin slices, on a plate!

It's all down to will power - so very little & often!!

Ferrero Rocher

Nibble the nutty chocolate off from around the wafer ball underneath. Pull the 2 semi-circles apart, throw the nut away (don't like the walnut), lick out the chocolate from the two halves and then eat the shell.

I have tried so many times to eat them normally but can't help myself..

Glad to know I am not the only chocolate freak around... and what about Tunnocks teacakes.....??

Snickers out of the fridge and cut into thin slices (like Smudge does with a Mars Bar)

I always let Maltesers melt in my mouth and never crunch on them, same with Cadbury's mini eggs

Kit Kats go extremely well with plain crisps!

Why do Revels still do the coffee ones, does anyone like them? To make matters worse they've also replaced the peanut ones with raisins.

Plain chocolate simply has to be eaten with hot, black tea. Tea and chocolate are a dream! Love sucking the chocolate of Crunchie Bars but haven't had one for simply ages. I do remember someone who melts Smarties in a Cup of Boiling Water and drinks the result!!!

Tunnocks Teacakes? Put your tongue through the chocolate and then let the marshmallow melt on your tongue? Trouble is I don't like the bottom bit of Tunnocks.

another thing i quite often do is, with foil wrapped chocolate bars like kitkat or breakaway - i trace the pattern or logo through the foil with my fingernail - and on odd occasion with a pen...mmmm, beginning to wonder about myself...its only really just occurred to me that i do all this...

although its not essential - i don't think the house will collapse if i don't do it, it doesn't bother me in the slightest, i don't even notice it...its just if i am sitting around bored....perhaps i should get some worry beads or some squidgy desktoy to play with...lol

It seems to me that everyone does the same thing. Love doing that to double deckers.
Just a quickie - I love Ferrero Roche too JoCannon, but I think you'll find the nut in the middle is a Hazelnut, not a Walnut! Maybe now you'll change your mind & try it - the nut I mean! ;o}
