of course it is sad, but Mr.Wilde had the extrraordinary privelege of knowing he was involved in at least one project which will continue to bring pleasure to people decades, if not centuries, after his life. As the Artful Dodger he was sublime.
Hi foxy.fagin, yeah I hadn't heard and just turned the page in the Mirror and it appeared before me, I was taken aback even though I knew it was near the end for him, I was on a bus at the time and I felt really upset and alone, Mark Lester said some lovely things about him but the poor man was in alot of pain for a number of years and it is so sad.

Hi Dot. Mam rang to tell me earlier this evening and I was speechless. She said Ron Moody had lots of nice things to say about him too.
Hi Fagin,I was thinking of you when I heard the sad news. There'll never be another Dodger like Jack. Bless him.

And it was so long ago - 1969! How young and wild we were then.

1969, 1971, 2006 and I must be missing some, probably many, out. Bises, xxx

It is very sad. He was only in his early fifties. It seems far to many actors or well known people seem to have the world at their feet, but then the dreaded C word invades them. It makes you realise that all the money in the world can't give you the one thing that's important. LIFE. He will always be remembered for his part in Oliver.
