Bill Hicks - The greatest comedian ever?

Having just purchased again, the re-released video of Relentless by Bill Hicks, I just wanna say that this man is/ was a comedic genius. Not a term to be used lightly, lucky enough to have seen him in concert a couple of times. The only comedian I have ever seen who could make you think deeply about what he was saying whilst u were * * ** *** your pants. Only Richard Pryor comes close. Dont mention Denis Leary, good as he is, he stole a lot of stuff from Bill. Tragically dead now, ironically from cancer.

The thing i always found amazing about Bill Hicks, was that it always seemed to me that he was a comedian by accident.
He's not spouting out jokes and one liners - he's actually giving you an insight into how he thinks, and what his views on everything are. It's just a happy coincidence that his views happen to entertain a lot of people.

i found him slightly amusing at best and his goat boy material was disgusting.if you found that funny then poor poor you.

Goatboy was meant to disgust and offend, he only came out when the audience was getting to comfortable with Bill, so it worked on you. Those of you that disagree, who is better then? Im interested to know.

Got to be the funniest stand up comedian ever!! I've not seen anyone come anywhere near Bill Hicks, no one. He's the(was?) Jimi Hendrix of stand up. Can't judge him just off Revelations, Relentless is gut-achingly funny.
