I'm trying to remember the name of an american 80s TV series around the same time as Manimal, Matt Houston. It had a James Bond type character and I think it was called Ace of Spades or Ace of Hearts. I seem to remember in the opening titles it had the star jumping out of a plane and driving a Ferrari. I think the actor who player the hero was also in something like Dynasty or Dallas
This sounds like Remington Steele with Pierce Brosnan??
I know he was supposed to play Bond around about this time but was contracted to this and couldn't do it...any use?
Ace of Wands?
Starred Roy Holder, Judy Loe and Tony Selby ( from 'Get Some In' ? )
Good link from Shatnerfan - I hadn't come across TVtome before - thanks. Pity Timstar had already mentioned Matt Houston.
I remember there was something around that time called "Riley Ace Of Spies", but i never watched it i'm afraid. There's another show that keeps popping into my head - it's the Ferrari that's doing it - it wasn't Magnum P.I. was it? Tom Selleck drives of in a Ferrari 328 GTS in the opening credits of that. Apart from those two, i can't think what it could be.
I think this could be a series called "Sword of Justice" it was called "a double life" in the USA. It was about a rich guy who was framed and then used skills learnt in prison to fight justice! Look at webpage http://us.imdb.com/Title?0077462
for more details!
Mixing several shows together in one question? Patrick Duffy, before "Dallas", did indeed star in a short-lived programme that I think was titled "Manimal". He was a merman, or could morph into different animals-something like that.
Ahhhh i dont know what it was called but im sure the opening music was that Bonnie Tyler song called Holding out for a heroe and the star of it was sum kind of reporter but always got up to adventures etc?
