Does anyone know what drug Frank (Denis Hopper) is inhalling in the film Blue Velvet? He never shares it around with his 'gang'.

Nitrous oxide, more commonly called 'laughing gas'.

Thanks Drusilla. That question has puzzled me since the first time I saw the film, over 10 years ago. I didn't realise that particular gas was addictive!
