You're right 4getmenot,they want to live in their mobile homes,but want a permanant site,to live on but don't wanna pay council tax,what if i lift my house up stick wheels on it,will i be exempt from paying it too?

I dont like type casting anyone but gypsies fo get away with alot. I come from a place where we have acamp and I have been friends with a few but the ones that kick up a fuss about being stereotyped are the ones that come up town starting fights because they think they have to live up to the name. So because of this people are very wary of them.

He's right they give nothing to society, they leave damage and crap everywhere they go. They make life a misery for thousands. We regularly get them in Bournemouth, a couple of years ago they squated in a park on some football pitches caused no end of trouble. Our own spinelss councils do very little take weeks to get shot and then us blood council tax payers foot the bill for the clean up. Confiscate their Mercs and Porches and sell them off to pay the bill I say. No what the first thing our spineless Bloody Liberal shower do? yep send in the the naffing social workers and hand out some benefit. Tony Martin was right.

Loosehead you're so right about the cars they own, all BMW's in my town. And our bloody council built a place with shower blocks and plumbed in toilets for them to stick their caravans and it went on our council tax bills!

I have a lot of dealings with the travelling community one way or another and I have to say I've never found them to be anything other than hospitable, hard working, ingenious and level headed. Mind you that might be because I treat everyone I meet with equal respect and I'm not some ill informed neo nazi that assumes people on travellers sites do not pay anything towards it.Not all gypsies are on benefits, nor are all gypsies thieves, nor do all gypsies start fights ( although it's true they usually finish them...).The Roma community are the singularly most discrimanted against group in Europe. It seems fine for some reason to you to make sweeping generalisations about these people and lump many different types of traveller all together under the loose term of "gypsy", when actually the Roma are amongst the most clean and tidy people on the planet with many very distict internal rules about food preperation and washing which would eclipse any of you in terms of good hygeine.What you are actually discussing are Tinkers and Poshrats not Gypsies and before you all start heckling and critisisng that opinion I know what I'm talking about as we have several gypsy families who use our land year after year and there have never been any problems with them whatsoever, other than the problems the locals have caused with their own ignorant bigotry.As for killing a whole group of people as Tony Martin would like, I suspect most of your Fathers and Grandfathers fought in the war to stop another man with similar ideas.

My only experience with gypsies has been bad. They regularly crawl around the trading estate I work on in their van, taking whatever is out, in broad daylight.

My dad has had his van stolen three times in three months recently, by the same group of gypsies and everytime they've stripped the sign writing from it, changed the plates, siphoned the diesel and smashed it up. They've also stolen the side panels to his flat bed lorry to sell as scrap metal.

The police are you too scared of them to go further.
