Peter's father left Michael the property by the coast in his will. Someone started terrorising Kate, just after they had told Peter that she was pregnant. The detective who had interviewed them when the young girl was killed when they were at school kept gave Kate a scrapbook and told her to get away from her husband & Peter as he was convinced that Peter killed the girl and Michael covered up for him. Kate told her husband about what the detective had said. Michael tried to convince her that the detective had a grudge because it was his son who had in fact killed her. The detective went to see Peter and Peter stabbed him to death. Kate left a message for the detective that she had evidence that it was Peter who killed the girl and that she was going to get it. Peter intercepted the message and went after her but ended up falling over the cliff. Michael turned up and went nuts because Peter was dead. He tried to kill Kate by drowning her, and it turned out that he had actually killed the girl because she'd been with Peter as well. Kate managed to bash her husband over the head and killed him. And she lived happily ever after. Phew. Does that answer the question?
