Im a massive Alan Partridge fan and waited for his new series with great expectations but...nobody could be more suprised than me that I dont find it FUNNY. Ive not even tuned in after the 2nd episode. Anyone else out there feeling the same or have I just mislaid my funny bone?

I can see your point LISAB, I have stuck with the sereies, and the rewards are showing through now. I think Steve Coogan is too canny a writer to blast everyone with killer material in Episode One, leaving the rest of the series as a limp fill-in. The first epsiode was to an extent scene-setting and filling in the gaps, and letting SAlan settle into his new lifestyle. It is a lot darker this time roudn, something I personally enjoy, so may I suggest you give the series another look, and if you still don't enjoy it, fair enough. It's a shame to feel let down by a much-anticipated artist, but that's the price we pay for enjoying art - it can't be that good all the time.

I'm with Einstein on this one.
The new series of I'm Alan Partridge is very good in parts, but has lost a lot of the subtlety that made the first one such a classic.
There have been some brilliant moments but it's been too over-the-top and self-indulgent.
Alan's character is just not believable any more.
