I remember going to the circus as a child, and that unique odour of sawdust, cndyfloss and animals has stayed with me for ever.
I remember thinking how vast the Big Top was, and womdering how on earth they managed to put it up and take it down again. Everything for a child is sight and sound, which is exactly why a circus is so fabulous. I adored the clowns, everything is exagerated, their costumes, make-up, feet, the noises they make, the fun they have, I just adored it all.
haven't been to a circus for years - clowns really freak me out!
