I very rarely watch tv and everyone I know thinks I am weird (especially as I never watch any of the soaps) I was wondering how much tv everyone watched and what sort of programmes you like? Although I dont watch tv much it is always on in the background, do other people do that?

I watch quite abit of tv, but it's mainly because I just have it on out of habit, and there's not alot else to do. My favourite programmes are The Apprentice, as well as comedy quiz shows when they're on like QI, Mock the Week, Never Mind The ********* and Have I Got News For You.

I'm more of a radio person, but do enjoy documentaries on TV. I don't like to have the TV on just for the sake of it and will usually plan what I'm going to watch, rather than just sitting there flicking around the channels, desperately trying to find something interesting to watch. Would rather be drawing or reading and listening to the radio or my MP3 player. Uses a lot more imagination, where as when you are watching TV, it's all done for you!

It is like that in my house too pix. I usually end up turning it off though as the kids have their dvds on and there is 3 sets of sounds playing over each other. I usually go about the house turning off TV's and shutting bedroom doors for a bit of quiet. I dont watch anything regularly usually just DVD's.

hi everyone,

zippy now i must admit that i do sometimes watch never mind the bleep (lol)

wispy we have the radio on quite a lot over the weekend. I too cant do with the channel flicking just in case something good may be on

same here ned, I watch loads of DVD's too. Just seen saw 2 it was brilliant :)

I watch loads of DVDs (I saw Saw2 Pix - the hyperdermics - ewwwww!) aswell, and the only night where I plan to watch tv is on a Monday. It's the first day after the weekend and Fight Night is on Sky so hubby sits down stairs watching boxing and stuff and I go to bed at about 8pm and watch Enders, Corrie, etc and do eyebrown plucking, nail painting etc. It's an easy watch and I'm usually so p*ssed off at having to be back at work I'd probably start a row with him!

Must admit i'm one for having tv on in the background, when i'm doing other things so usually not concentrating on it.

Only programmes i would sit down to specifically watch are comedys such as ********* etc,and football

hi nat, i cant wait to watch Hostel from what i been told its worse than saw, i love gore lol

hi ukbloke, i wonder how much leccy we would save if we turned the tv off lol

Tv is always on in this house, even if no-one watching it which is highly unlikely cos i'm a bit of a soap nut, even the repeats get watched, only thing i don't watch is war films and docs and hollyoaks basically thats what it seems like anyway!
Hostel is pap Pix, I was really looking forward to it - the horror doesn't start for about 45 mins and it's not really scary at all (this is coming from someone who had to watch Texas Chainsaw in the middle of the day in the summer cos she was so scared). I also had nightmares after watching The Mummy. Sorry for ruining the fillum I think you should still watch it but I didn't think much of it at all.

Hi pixi

i watch some of the soaps but love lots of comedys like father ted, only fools, red dwarf ,Blackadder, Fawlty Towers,Frasier, i'm alan partridge, phoenix nights, open all hours and lots more

I watch quite a bit of t.v. but also do a lot of reading, with either the t.v. or radio on in the background. Programmes I watch are: Invasion, Supernatural, Lost, Medium, Desperate Housewives, Cold Case and The Apprentice. Sometimes watch Location Location and Selling Houses. I watch the soaps from time to time but not bothered if I miss any!
