Did anyone else notice that the domestic vioence used in the advance clips was edited out in the programme. On the trailers, you see Jane Horrock's husband punch her in the stomach when they have the row at the beginning of the programme. In the programme itself, it was cut out.

Wonderful telly though, Jimmy McGovern at his best.! Pity it crosses with House. Won't say any more as I know many of you will have recorded one to watch the other!

carolegif I hadn't noticed that but it was such good telly. I don't normally bother with dramas, only types like this. By the way I missed the crucial moment with the driver. I never knew if it was really his fault, can you please enlighten me.

He was looking at the Jane Horrocks character in the window and didn't see her little girl run into the street. The father and the boys were watching the football on TV and didn't see her run out. I felt it was an accident, but he is so good at showing how one thing leads to another.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. Can't wait for next week. Knowing Jimmy McGovern, (not personally) it will be just as good.
About time for a great BRITISH drama. Well acted good story lines, about time.
