Does this really have high enough viewing figures to warrant a weekly slot, and if so, who actually watches it???

Mind you, i can't stand Graham Norton's show either because he just relies on shock factor and being vulgar. Eurotrash is what it's name suggests i suppose - trash from Europe. It's just an excuse to show perverted and kinky clips that otherwise wouldn't get past the censors. Channel Four, are you listening? Pull the plug on Eurotrash!
If I end up watching eurotrash [cos there's nothing else worth watching] (Really.), I Have to turn the sound down because the female voice-overs are almost painfully cringe-making and main presenter too. It happened to night, I dialled 888 for subtitles, Actually the whole show is pretty dire, after 10minutes of titty, ass and trash (well you couldn't get them under trade descriptions), I suddenly remebered The Office and Buzzcocks were on, but they were repeats, heyho the only other stuff showing was misery and war and murderers. Thank God (if you got one) for PC's. :-)
Have you actually watched it recently? Whilst not everyone's cup of tea (mine especially), it is often hilarious, and in Antoine De Caunes you have, in my opinion, one of TV's top presenters. For it's intrinsicly sane, amusing and humble (wonderful self-deprecation in order to carry off the irony) portrayal of things downright unbelievable it is to be commended.
In answer to the initial question, Eurotrash is broadcast during the graveyard slot, very few people watch Channel 4 at this time. Advertising revenue from commercial breaks is therefore considerably smaller than revenue taken from Coronation Street's for example. The show is redubbed articles from abroad, the programme is as cheap as they come and its known as a slot-filler - something to go on telly until people start watching again in the morning. If Eurotrash were to be replaced by something more expensive and highbrow the channel would be wasting time and money. People just don't watch channel 4 at that time in the evening and nothing is ever going to change that. from a BA Television production student.
