I enjoyed the drama it was very intresting to see what Mary would do to get her family out of the situation they were in.

Nanny dawn, heres abit of a summary, other ABers can correct me if i miss a vital part out!

Mary Bryant was arrested in england for stealing a hat and was sentenced to death. However she escaped death by being sent over to Australia with a bunch of criminals as the first to live there.

On the ship they were treated horribly and in disgusting conditions. However there was a storm and mary was in great danger but was saved and one of the higher up men, decided to look after her in his room and give her some of his wife's dresses(his wife decided not to go onthe ship) as he wanted to 'save' her.

But she couldnt fit into one of the dresses as she was pregnant(forced to have sex by a guard for food) and then he realised. He was very wary incase everyone thought he was the father and had another girl whipped really taking his anger out on her. So mary bryant went back down to the other women for the rest of the journey and had her baby, named charlotte.

When they reached there she married Will, another prisoner. Three years later and crops failed to grow because of the weather conditions and people were dying. Mary had had her second child, Emanual. She and 6 others came up with a plan to escape as she didnt want her children to die. But to do this she had to get the key off the guy that had looked after her on the ship. So she slept with him and lived with him for a while, and then one night they decided to leave.

So....it ended last night where she had just got on the ship and he was chasing her with a bunch of other guards and they were firing at the ship.
