king kong - 5/10... mildly amusing but good special effects keep you entertained, not sure if they would be as impressive on the tv rather than the cinema, It went on too long / seemed like the director was being a bit self indulgent ... also you know what happens in the end anyway!

Narnia - 7/10... i liked this one, it was silly - with talking beavers (no jokes please) etc and the kids acting was a bit shaky BUT all in all i liked seeing the cinematic representation of a book i liked as a kid... additionally i was interested in the strong Christian message the film sent with many Christian story analogies (good if you like that sort of thing i guess) and any film with a talking lion has got to be a winner in my book!

The Brother Grimm - didn't get to see it as the girlfriend told me to stop taking her to see all the kids films and to start acting my age... so i held my breath stamped by feet

King Kong 7, needed trimming but some lovely imaginative moments. Narnia 7, liked the kids, less sure about the story. Didn't see the other one - did anyone?

I wouldnt waste your time with kong, its arse killingly too long and brother grimm is just abismal. Narnia is watchable but don't expect too much its better for kids, i watched with my nephew whos 8, he loved it
